•WHY I BOUGHT THIS SHOE•1. I am a middle school science teacher who is on her feet/standing for 7-9 hours a day. I used to be a waitress, bartender, and CNA who would stand for even longer... Think 12 hours2. I injured my foot somehow over the years and now I have a fallen arch/flat foot/foot drop and arthritis per my doctor. The pain is so great that I limp around most of the time.•PROS OF THIS SHOE•1. IT WORKS!!!!! My foot is no longer in shooting pain after school. In fact, my foot doesn't hurt at all in that area. Of course, my feet are "sore" from standing all day, but that's how normal, non-injured feet feel after working.2. VERY CUTE! I got the black rose design and it goes with all of my black slacks.3. THE PRICE! I did not have $180 to drop on a shoe that may or may not work. My husband has Crocs slides and loves them, so I went out on a limb and purchased this. I do not regret it and I will be buying more pairs.4. ARCH SUPPORT: The Crocs insoles have good arch support, but you may want to use your insole if you have a medical issue with your feet. The sole is squishy and comfortable on my injured foot.•CONS OF THIS SHOE•1. SQUEAKY! I had to tell all of my classes that, yes, I know my shoes squeak, but no, I don't care, because my feet feel amazing. It sounds like a duck quacking. If you are easily embarrassed, this might be a con for you.2. TIGHT across the top! This is fixable, I just haven't had time to fix it yet. You can put your shoes on with 2-3 pairs of thick socks and blow dry them for as long as you can take it. This will stretch your shoes out.3. SORE muscles? Granted, I have had a foot injury for years, and it has probably affected how I walk. After two days of wearing these shoes, every muscle in my legs is SORE. I can barely bend or climb steps. I assume this is because the shoes are correcting my gait and posture, which was incorrect/overcompensating for my foot injury before.•HOW DOES IT FIT?•I usually size up due to my insoles. I suggest the same for this shoe. I am usually an 8.5 and I got a 9. Half-size feet should size up, in my opinion. This may help with some of the tightness across the top.I suggest wearing thick socks with these shoes if you don't like the slip and slide that clogs create. The toe box is very roomy and makes my arthritic toe feel very nice. (Arthritis is a side effect of the flat foot...)It is tight across the top, but like I said, that is fixable.I have small heels and these do not slide off my feet or cause blisters.•A NOTE ON INSOLES•I took the Crocs insole out and added my own orthopedic insole. I had no problem with this. You definitely don't want to wear both insoles at once. Pick one!•THE VERDICT•Overall, I WOULD buy these shoes again. I WOULD recommend them to a friend. They DO help with fallen feet. After two days of constant wear, I am very happy.
