Calling all baristas, restaurant servers, and healthcare and service industry workers of every stripe. If you spend hours on your feet, you deserve a comfortable pair that works as hard (and looks as good) as you do. Think of these reinforced slip-ons as a caffeinated version of Crocs Classic Clogs, all geared up for the grind.
Crocs is one of the only companies these days that does what all quality companies used to be proud of: create a product that actually lasts the test of time. Not to mention, they truly stand behind them. I have never had a problem with any pair of Crocs that they did not handle if I contacted them - even if I bought them from a third party! Crocs is just an amazing company, full-stop.I long ago stopped caring that Crocs are ugly, when they single-handedly saved me from foot surgery! So eventually, every pair of shoes I own has been disposed of, and all that remain are various styles of Crocs. For everyday use, I generally like their Classic Clog, and I particularly love the variety of colors, because I am just a colorful person! However, in my line of work I usually need something hardier, with better traction. So 2 years ago, I ordered this pair (On The Clock Clog | Slip Resistant Work Shoes) and the Mercy Work Clog (as it was also indicated to be a great choice for those on their feet all day, as in nursing or similar).Right away, the Mercy was NOT going to work for me. I had actually tried it years earlier and didn't like it then either! They fit weirdly, the box tends to run small, and there are whole areas where parts of my feet just don't feel supported - pretty much from the "hinge" area to the back of the heel. I believe I still have them, but I don't even know where they are. I never wore them a second time! But these! These are AMAZING!! Not only did they get me through the incredibly busy and active 2 months of our busy season (which typically include 12 hour days of being on our feet) two years in a row, but they have held up to regular daily use the rest of the time as well! Two years! And I am a big girl who tends to go through other brands of shoes very quickly. You can see in the picture that the ruggedness of the tread is still going strong!Though it's true that my Classic Crocs have also put up with carrying my not-insignificant body weight year-after-year, it's not just the Croc shoes themselves that have held up this time, but also the cushion they put inside the "On The Clock Clog." (For the record, the version I am talking about has an insole they only refer to as "Dual Crocs Comfort." They have since come out with an "On The Clock Literide" that has a "Literide" insole. I have not tried those, and this review is not about that version.) Only a few months ago did the area under my heels begin to wear away on the insole (but just the fabric! You can see it in the picture.). And it's not even unusable, just irritating for a person who has a bit of a "Princess and the Pea" sensory issue. But because it was annoying me, I purchased several different insoles in various styles - I believe all of them being Dr. Scholl's, and all of them claiming to be for people who spent a lot of time on their feet every day. None of them have lasted for any amount of time. I could have bought an entirely new pair of these Crocs, even at full price on their website (this pair is much cheaper here, for some reason) for the price I paid for all of those insoles, and know they would have lasted for a couple of years! My complaints are few, but I will list them:-For one, though they were incredibly long lasting insoles, and I do acknowledge that I could have purchased an entirely new pair of shoes that included them for less money than I spent on the pile of garbage-quality Dr. Scholl's insoles, the part of me that hates waste doesn't really appreciate having to buy an entirely new pair of shoes just for the insoles! But I can't find any place where I can buy the Crocs insoles alone.-The color. I have a couple of issues with the colors. At least one of them may matter to you!1) The black aren't *really* black. Even brand new, they weren't anywhere near as dark black as they look in the photos. They were always a muted sort of blackish, and immediately lighten and look dingy when dirty. Perhaps I could use their "Crocs Shine" cleaner, but I would basically have to do that every day for it to make any difference for the black On The Clock Clog, and that isn't feasible. For my job, I don't care too much about this, but since I'm wearing these for practically every occasion now, it would be nice if they could even reasonably pass for something a little bit classier than my job. I don't need them to be sexy or stylish, but if they could simply fade into the background, that would do. Unfortunately, because of how dirty and dingy they always look, they are noticeable in a bad way. (Note regarding the photo: I have never cleaned them, they are 2 years old, and my job is outdoors! So though you can definitely tell that it is a muted black, some of the discoloration is just due to heavy outdoor use. Judge accordingly!)2) For me personally, I would LOVE more color options in general. Just because someone needs the shoes for work doesn't mean they need them to be a neutral color! Not to mention all the people who want to wear them outside of work. I'm disappointed in how rarely they offer this pair in any color besides black, navy, and white. And on the rare occasion that they do offer it in another color, it is usually some obnoxious pattern that I am not interested in anyway! It would be amazing if they could simply offer this in a variety of colors like they do their Classic Clog.-This isn't necessarily a complaint against Crocs (not sure), but when I've looked up "on the clock clog" in other places (like eBay, etc...), they oftentimes will show an entirely different style of Croc. Specifically, the Neria Pro II. I don't know if this is the seller mislabeling it, or if for some reason Crocs has the "On The Clock" name on some of their Neria Pro II shoes, but it has happened often enough that I feel like there must be some overall confusion that probably starts with Crocs themselves. I also have a pair of the Neria Pro II, and though they share some similarities to the "On The Clock," THEY ARE NOT THEM! They are not only unsupportive, but I've twisted my ankle several times while wearing them, so they are more of a hazard than a less supportive shoe would be in the first place. So be very careful when you order "On The Clock" Crocs that the pair you are ordering is the same pictured in this listing. That's it! Overall, these are very very good and supportive shoes that I whole-heartedly recommend!I work in a meat department where we have to blast lots of stuff throughout the day to clean it. My pair of Snibbs shoes developed a hole in them so my feet were getting soaked every night. I first bought a size 10 pair of these Crocs, the size I normally get. They were huge! I returned them and got a size 8 which are still even a little too big, but not too much so to return them. In practice, the non-slipness isn't as good as the Snibbs but is enough to not worry much on a wet floor. They feel comfortable enough although I'd consider an insole for arch support because there's basically none. But most importantly, they're a simple, inexpensive shoe that gets me through the days. I recommend spending more to get a higher quality shoe if you can but if you just don't wanna, then these aren't a bad way to go.My feet aren't happy in shoes. Ever. Until these, which are so comfortable on my feet that I forget they're on. This MIGHT be a bad thing for you unless your feet are shaped like mine: High toe-box, narrowish heel. I generally wear 8.5 WW or WWW, ordered men's size 9.They are not easy to slip on with my socks on: Rubberized material gets a good grab on the socks. Could use a heel loop to pull with. But other than that, I'm very happy with them.I love this crocs. I bought them for work where I’m on my feet for 8-10 hours a day. Didn’t even have a breaking in period. Like they were just super comfortable from day 1. Fit perfectly with a regular pair of socks in my normal size. Definitely recommend. I’ve had them for awhile now and they have hardly any sign of wear.Great shoes for where I work.I side liner at the toes is coming up. I can feel it bunching up when I walk. Otherwise, I am extremely pleased to have these as comfortable work shoes that do not slip off or slip on wet floors.Fantastic slip-resistant food service clog. They were a little big when they arrived. My feet are between size 8.5 and 9, and the size 9 clog was just a little loose through the ankle. The toe box was also very wide. I shrunk them in the dryer and stretched them immediately after. Now they fit my feet perfectly!Great shoes but a solid tough shape with very little height inside, need very flat feet with low or no arches, I have to wear very thin socks to get my feet in and risk occasionally on very busy days developing large blisters on the very top of my foot as the bone and plastic are so close the skin is trapped and rubbing so blisters are a risk if your feet have arches, would recommend looking for something else or go a size bigger and find something super heavy and hope it can help squash it on the sides to give extra height inside, if you have no arches to the bones in your foot and everything is flat to the floor then these are perfect for you.The usual problem I have with shoes is the heel slipping, but that's due to my anatomy. I tried sticking on some heel grips, but those pushed my toes all the way to the front, so I had to remove the grips. The right shoe fits perfectly--lengthwise, anyway. However, for some reason, the left shoe is slightly smaller. My right foot is the larger one, so I know it's an issue with the shoe and not my foot because this is a first having the left shoe fit smaller. As well, I've been told that Crocs are amazingly comfortable, but I do not find this rings true for me. My feet, particularly the heels, hurt at the end of the day and because the left shoe fits smaller, my left foot consequently hurts more than the right. Furthermore, in my first week wearing these shoes, my left calf muscles also hurt because I was compensating for the smaller fit. I'm fine now, but I can't imagine it will be good in the long run. If I hadn't needed shoes so soon and had had more time to shop, I probably wouldn't have kept these, especially with one shoe being defective and fitting slightly smaller (that makes a noticeable difference when you're on your feet the whole day!).The only positive thing I have to say about these is that they are easy to wipe down. This is why I searched for Crocs in the first place.Love these crocs! I take size 7.5, the size 8 women’s is only just long enough but they are still comfortable. They feel very secure on. I fell in the garden 2 years ago in backless crocs and broke a hip so it is important l don’t feel l will slip out of these. Great for wearing to hang out the washing, put the bins out etc without spoiling my slippers. Should be good for gardening too, are sturdy and will clean easily. Really pleased with my purchase.Somewhat disappointing considering I thought I was purchasing crocs. The images of the item are deceiving. The item in the pictures attached are what I received.Had I of known I would of even bothered orderingThey are absolutely massive also!Seems they might not be very friendly for heavy duty activity. I do a lot of running around at a part time job.. and while they are initially very comfortable they unfortunately become quite uncomfortable after only 3.5 hours. They're quite stable, roomy.. ish. They do get very warm despite the little air holes. After only 4 hours it didn't feel like I'd been wearing crocs.. had a pair of "specialist vent" work crocs before and they were a revelation, total comfort, no fatigue or aching feet.Sadly "on the clock" crocs are not the same.. got them at a reduced price so maybe they were seconds or something like that; the second time I wore them the insole and the side of the shoes started to pinch in a way that doesn't feel right at all. Socks might help.. but I'm not convinced.Might be ok if your pace is going to be a bit more sedate.Fits true to size - although someone with a high arch or especially wide feet might not get along with them.
