I had a old pair of these - don't think they even make that style anymore but they were my go-to sandals for any type of messy environment. I wore them as shower sandals in the gym, around the garden, to the pool, to the beach - they were almost indestructible. Finally the thong part detached after about 15 years of hard wear and tear. I couldn't find the exact replacement, so I wound up choosing these. I have to say, these are definitely more stylish-looking, but have same durable feel and have held up really well so far! I am a happy customer. I have been wearing to the beach, getting all sandy & wet - a quick rinse and they look brand-new still. Highly recommend for anyone needing a more durable sandal that can handle any condition but not look like you have Forrest Gump shoes, lol.These were a gift to someone who had a pair many years ago. He put them on and said perfect!These were purchased to replace an older pair. These fit slightly wider, but quickly became use to the new "roomier" fit.
