These boots are lightweight and my daughter absolutely loves them. They Keep her feet warm for Urban Upstate New York.I have seen a review stating that they did not keep their child's feet warm...Yeah that would apply if:- Your going on an outdoor expedition through the snow.- Constantly wading through snow that is higher than the boot itself.- Spending a long time outside when its miserably cold.Which you would be an idiot for doing any of the above to your child and having touched these boots. These are light weight, but they DO keep your kids feet warm and your kids will love them if your NOT an idiot.Excellent for:- Walking around urban or maintained areas.- Going to mall- Going grocery shoppingEssentially they are perfect for the occasional movement through mushy snow in order to get from you car to the indoors.Because they are so lightweight they are phenomenal for transitioning from the worst of climates to indoors.Full on Snow boots are typically:- Heavy.- Stiff and Rigid.- Ugly.- Are horrible for transitioning to use for walking through a mall, grocery shopping, going to the movies etc..This is why I absolutely love these boots:- My daughter loves wearing them so much she sometimes puts them on like house slippers.- Excellent transition boots! (Good outdoors and indoors)- Lightweight and Flexible. (They are Crocs)- Insulated (Which keeps her feet WARM)I really like crocs. This is second pair of crocs and we all are happy with them. Easy to get in and out, very light and cozy. True to size (I bought size 9 for my 34 month old girl) so I would recommend to go half size up thinking in winter socks when it's cold outside. I like that they are very light and very durable (it think it applies to all crocs boots and shoes). My girl can easily put them on and take off and I think she is comfortable wearing them. Her feet are warm although winters here are not cold (Vancouver, Canada). They have an inner liner (you can't remove it) but it's not very thick that's why your kid will need warm socks if it's winter cold outside. It was very easy to clean the fabric and the rubber although it takes them little bit longer to dry because of the liner. What you need to know and that is the reason I gave it 4 starts only is that they are not meant for playing in the water. The top (fabric) is not waterproof. Something to consider. If your child likes walking on water - then he/she will be fine, but no jumping.this is easy to wear boots. my 5 year old girl loves it!These have been great winter boots so far. I ordered a 7 and my son is in a 6.5 stride rite. He has no trouble getting around in these and they go on easily. He is a big fan of crocs and these have been no exception. The sole is light and easy for him to lift while on his feet, unlike some of the stiff clunky soles on the other kids boots. The puffy upper part is great too. It allows him to bend his leg without getting resistance on his muscles or knee from a rigid material around his calf. He is two, so we don't spend hours playing outside yet. But with a slightly thicker sock, his feet have stayed warm and dry for our 30-45 minute excursions in the snow. We haven't really tested them beyond that. I think these are the best winter boots out there for toddlers.I really do love these for my toddler and so many people ask what brand and are shocked when I say crocs! So my toddler typically wears 5 1/2 so I ordered 6 thinking room to grow. She definitely would have fit in a 7. I may even order the 7 too. The 6 fits but fits so well that she will grow out soon I bet. Also, a 7 would be easier to get on (these aren't hard to get on but I do need to stand her up & push to get her heel in. She wouldn't take them off the day she got them because she was so excited to have her own boots. I got the blue (even though we have a girl) and I am really pleased with it. Her snow outfit is pink so I don't feel like too much pink with these shoes. And it will be easier to hand-down in blue!We had Croc sandals last summer and he loved them and wanted to wear them every day! Boots are a necessity because we must go outside to play at least once a day regardless of weather. I didn't know what size boot to get, but previous ratings said Crocs were on the small size and my 19 month old son has pudgy large feet for his age so I ordered an 8 toddler, 1 size up. Since these are boots it's hard to tell how large they are, but he can kick them off occasionally when being held. They are very lightweight and he can walk easily with them on. We had tried a store brand boot and had to return them because they were so heavy and the deep tread collected so much snow so that he couldn't walk with them. These are good quality winter boots, perfect for toddlers! I bought a size 6 for my 2 year old son, who has a chubby wide foot. Some winter boots from other brands would not even go over his foot. These are easy to put on, which is important when you are undressing and dressing a squirmy boy 3 or 4 times a day in the winter to go outside to play. They keep the snow and cold out well, and they fit over a little bit thicker sock without being too tight. The simple design is cute and looked nice with his red jacket. So, there are the lightest rain boots I could find. They are cute and comfortable but not really waterproof peppa pig style (meaning not meant to jump in puddles with them). For light rain they should be fine.I did spray them with waterproof spray and my child stepped in a deep puddle. His feet didn't immediately get soaking wet but when we got home he said his socks were wet. Maybe I will try to spray them one more time.I gave 5 stars because my child likes them and wears them no problem. Was will man mehr? Size 6 Uk child is more like a 23 EU.The boots are perfect with thick thermal socks when winter starts to creep in.My toddler can run and play in the mud, wet grass and can jump into little puddles. He is very happy, so I am smiling. For the moment are perfect and we love them, but it's just raining outside. So I am not sure that these boots can keep warm during very cold weather, even with thermal socks. And I don't know yet if are slippery in the snow. Definitely I can't assume and won't take the risk.So I am looking for another pair of boots for hard winter.I bought the smallest size available -6 infant and agree with others who said they run small. My son is size 5 and they fit just fine. So they are perfect for him. He has just turn 1 year old and can be a bit wobbly on uneven ground, but got used to them quickly. I like the fact that the bottom of the trousers can be pulled over the boots and stays there! I cannot comment on how warm they will be in winter as the foot is not padded. There were varying reviews when i purchased these, but they fitted the bill for puddle jumping and nursery use.I would suggest going slight bigger, and the calf fit is snug if you have a solid grandson like I have. He's had super comments from the nursery teachers who are very envious, they look good and crucially for young ones, comfortable to wear.I didn't buy them expecting them to be completely waterproof in all situations, just to add some protection in muddy environments ( a good alternative to leather shoes!) and to splash around in. For these activities, the boots are great.
