These crocs are fairly easy for my 3 year old to slip on and they keep his toes warm when we are running errand. I ordered the children's size 10/11. They do have the crocband around the back. My 3 year old can wear them with or without the band. It seems as though the heel comes up further than regular crocs but that could just be the padding. The band around the back is pretty tight. My son can do it but it takes him much longer than his regular crocs. We just received them last week so I can't attest to the longevity of anything but he loves them and they make getting out the door a lot easier with two kids in school and a baby!!
