These crocs are different from the originals because they are meant to be used in the work environment. The upper is thicker for protection and there are no holes in the upper to keep spills and debris out. They feel a little tighter and heavier than original crocs and I feel my feet are damper in these (wearing thin cotton socks help with the damp feeling.) I bought this pair to work in the garden, and bought an "original" pair at the same time for leisure wear.I noticed that the left shoe was tighter around my instep than the right. But my right foot is actually a touch larger than the left! I examined them closely, and feel certain that both sides are equal in size, but that the left opening is smaller making it tighter across the top of my left foot. I decided to keep them, and I am finding that the left opening is gradually expanding a little, so that I no longer feel the pressure across the top of my left foot.I wear a women's size 7WW with orthotics to help with my "ball of the foot" pain. I ordered the size 5 (men's sizing). It is very difficult for me to find shoes that are comfortable. I find that I can wear these if I am not on my feet all day, or plan ahead and bring my shoes with orthotics with me and change part way through the day.I noticed a school nurse wearing these which is how I found out about them. She loves them and highly recommended them to me. She does not have the difficult foot issues that I have.
