The footbed supports a high arch and it has a slight wedge angle that makes for reduced foot and back strain. I can wear them them daily. They look amazing too.I’ve been wearing “Sloans” for years. Have several pair. Best shoe ever. About 4 of mine have broke on the thong area between the toe. I’m the middle of it, so impossible to repair.Got all excited over these. Thought they’d be the same. NOPE!If you had the “older” style, these ain’t it. The area that spans your foot has a more narrow and more sharply angled strap. It DIGS sharply into the top of my foot. Hate by comparison. You may like if you’ve never experienced the ecstasy of the older ones.I am mourning the apparent retirement of the old ones. Best flip ever. RIP.Good buy.In starting the slipper bites a bit.
