I am a woman who wears an 8 1/2 wide shoe. I have a bunion on my right foot that makes just that spot difficult to fit. I purchased these in the 7, and the fit is perfect! There is actually a hole right where the bunion is. My feet can swell, so the adjustability at the ankle is perfect. I noticed just a little bit of rubbing on that hole around the bunion (if you don't have one, you won't notice it) so I applied some moleskin, and so far it feels like it won't be a problem. The top is not stretchy, so if you have a very chubby foot, these might not work. It's winter right now, so my feet are at their smallest -- I would have to come back in the Summer to see if they still fit. We are going to Hawaii and I can't imagine needing any other shoe -- they'll work for hiking, snorkeling, and walking around. Plus, in my opinion, they're quite good looking and flattering -- especially compared to the traditional Crocs clogs. I am overweight, but very active, and find that only Crocs keeps my feet happy all day without pain.
