A year or two ago I bought a pair of squishy gel sandals from Walmart. They were cheap and because of the gel they were comfy at the time. Obviously you get what you pay for and the gel wore out but I was still wearing those sandals. Slowly but surely I started getting really bad pains in my feet. I have always been so comfortable in ANY sandal. To me sandals are better than sneakers or any other shoe so I didn't even think about the sandals I was wearing. I couldn't walk when I got out of bed. It took a long and slow time to get moving. I figured out that I somehow got plantar fasciitis and I didn't know the cause. I have other health issues so I was wondering if I was just going to have to deal with this now. I bought compression socks on Amazon and they made it worse. Those socks had thousands of amazing reviews and I put them on and thought I was going to die. I thought I bought the wrong size so I bought different sizes. They did not help and caused me more pain. So methods that were working for other people weren't working for me. I pretty much just gave into the fact that my feet were always going to be hurting and painful from here on out and I would just try my best with shoes that I could. So I needed new sandals a year ago and because of the newfound foot pain that I had I knew I had to find something to help me.. So I bought these sandals. I was a little weary buying them because some of the reviews are saying that there is no support and it didn't help them at all. But I had no other choice than to buy something that was hopefully going to help. I'm young and I didn't want to wear granny looking sandals. These sandals are amazing!!!!! Obviously they did not cure me overnight and they did not cure me in a month. But I wore them throughout the summer of 2019 and I don't remember when but my plantar fasciitis went away. Like I don't have it at all anymore... insane! It really was (or must have been) caused by a terrible pair of sandals that must have been somehow damaged my foot. These are soft but firm. They do not look like croc sandals at all. They're just black and they're cute. I've had people ask me where I got them before and they are shocked when I tell them that they are Crocs. I even for a while wore these sandals around the house because walking around the house barefoot was hurting. So it's been about a year since I originally bought them and I have not had plantar fascitis for a really long time now. I honestly can't tell you when it went away because I was just busy living my life and being able to walk without pain. If I had to guess I would say September or October the pain was gone and I think I started wearing them in June. I am not trying to tell you it is going to cure your plantar fascitis. That is probably unlikely. I had it due to terrible sandals and support and with these new sandals and support it fixed the issue. My feet were allowed to heal and they weren't continuously being damaged or aggravated. I know I'm going on about these sandals but they truly worked. I was devastated when I thought I was going to have plantar fascitis. Especially because I kept reading that people will usually have it forever. I went 6 months in terrible pain. Unable to walk. Always uncomfortable. I have two sets of these sandals even though my first pair is still perfect and not worn out at all. I am going to continue to buy these sandals just for stock. I want to make sure that I always have them for the rest of my life in case they are not being made anymore. That is how much this sandal has helped my feet. Obviously if I were to walk around for 8 or 10 hours a day at an amusement park I'm sure my feet would still be sore or hurt. But they would hurt normally and not the way the plantar fasciitis was hurting me.I didn't get these for free or at a discount. Nobody asked me to write this review. Not Amazon and not the Croc company. I am a normal 30-year-old girl in a small town. But I just wanted to make sure that I wrote this review for someone else who is in pain. When I received these flip flops they felt narrow and very tight, and they were exactly my size. They stayed narrow, but with use they have stretched and now I wear them every day. If they continue to stretch I will not wear them anymore. It's the same thing that happens to me with the original Crocs. I wear them for a year, they stretch too much and I stop wearing them.Honestly did not expect them to be comfortable when I saw them in person. Could not have been more wrong. Love them!it is okThey are extremely comfortable. My feet are a perfect size 6 (8.75" long) but I always need size 7 - 8 in full cover SHOES to accommodate my wider toe area in modern shoe styles that tend to taper too much in the toe, pinching my feet. However, with these, a size 6 is PERFECT for me.My foot is exactly 8.75" long (the foot bed 9.75" long and the full length of the sole of the shoe is exactly 10.25" long ) so there's PLENTY of room for my foot length in a size 6.The width of my foot (the trouble spot in shoes) at its widest point (base of toes) is 3.75" wide. The upper foot bed is a generous 3.75" wide and the sole there is 4" wide. The heel and center part of the foot bed is 2.5" wide with a slow taper up to 3.75 (toe base) and then tapers off to a 2.25" top end.Choose your size based on the FOOT BED measurements because the foot bed is how to judge the fit. If your foot is any wider than the foot bed, go up a size. You can get away with slightly longer foot as the upper toe area flattens out the foot bed past the divider (between the "big" and second toes) so that the sandal will accommodate a slightly larger foot, but only slightly. These are SO COMFORTABLE and they offer medium arch support for those of us with somewhat higher arches and FORMER Plantar fasciitis sufferers who've been pain free for a long time. If your arches are unusually high or you currently HAVE Plantar fasciitis, don't buy these or any other inexpensive sandal, buy a more expensive, higher support arch sandal because you'll need more support than these offer.Take care not to get the upper straps wet or to let water settle in where the upper strap is attached to the foot bed. The upper straps WILL weaken and stretch out and the glue securing them inside WILL give out. There's NO fixing them if that happens. The straps/split for the toes DOES stretch out over time and there's nothing you can do about it (to my knowledge) Some have suggested the dishwasher or dryer to shrink them, but that's TOO much water exposure. Once they get very loose, keep a second pair of shoes in your car just in case they let loose. They typically DO last for an entire summer, being worn DAILY, and then some, and some will even last two seasons, but once the straps FEEL stretched out and loose, it's just a matter of time.Don't let that dissuade from buying them. They are REALLY comfortable and very reasonably priced, but they have a life span and you should know that when you purchase. They are worth the bother, IMHO, and I generally buy a couple pairs a year because I love them so much.I am replacing my old crocs that are exactly the same style with these. I looked at the size of my old crocs and they are a 6US. So, I ordered a 6US EUR 36/37. The overall shoe is a tad smaller than my old version. My toes (I have short toes) are fine but the back of my heel hangs off a tad. I am not returning, I can deal with it I just wanted people to know. I am always a size 6.5 US and a EUR 36/37. So if you are a half size you may need to go up a size. The picture shows black on black like I wanted but I was sent grey on black like my old shoes just FYI. That being said they are the most comfortable flip flops I have ever owned. I have walked miles on vacation at one time with no feet problems. Your feet will not slip around in these.I am on my second pair of these shoes. They got me through a summer pregnancy and provided great support. I hope Crocs keeps making them!I already had one pair and I got a second which were exactly like my 1st. The width, arch support and size was perfect. These are my second pair of croc flip flops and the only reason I had to buy them was I left my first pair in a hotel and I had had them for years. Very hard waring.Very comfortable I have worn these for 3 days straight no rubbing they grip lovely so no slipping like standard flip flops. Even wore them on a friends farm doing chores.I ordered these in beige and what can I say? They’re comfortable, practical and look nice and simple.I bought a pair of navy Capri v crocs and loves them immediately. The fit is perfect. They are comfortable and from day one never had to be broken in. I got a bargain price at the time so was obviously thrilled and because I was heading away on holiday I thought another colour would be great, but alas prices went up a lot. I decided to order 3 more pairs while I was away as prices reduced back considerably - a black pair and a beige pair for myself (size 5uk as before) and a black size 8 uk for my partner and looked forward to my return from holiday to my new Capri v's. Unfortunately both the beige and the black were a different fit.The beige fit better but slightly shorter and less roomy than the navy .The black ones seemed short and much tighter. I felt I would have to part with the black ones and make do with the slightly skimpy beige, however, I spent the morning wearing the beige and then the afternoon wearing the black trying to stretch them out a bit to force the toe post up a bit because there is just about enough room for my feet to sit within the platform.I am hoping all will loosen out to enable comfortable wear despite the shorter flip flop compared to my navy ones. My partner's size 8 was chosen after careful measuring of her feet based on the chart. Again like mine and despite having very long toes, the toe post seems too low down, thus forcing the heel over the bottom of the flip flop but leaving lots of room at the toe.I have advised perseverence and wearing them around the house in order to loosen things up trying to force the toe post to stretch up a bit. Time will tell.......but for prospective buyers....beware... sizes are not 100% consistent. If they fit well, they are the most comfortable flip flops ever. Good luck.?Be warned, these crocs have manufacturing glitch. The thong straos that form a V over the foot are pulled too tight. This pulls the toe-post back at an angle. The effect is that your foot has to sit further back on the footbed, leaving an ugly amount of space beyond your toes, and leaves your heel right on the end of the shoe. Tried both beige and black, and they both have the same issue. Shame. This is the second pair of these I’ve bought. Really comfortable and true to size (5). Beware, because not every Capri croc in this style has a leather thong, the blue and the beige do. Better than flip flops, as with the heel height they are sturdier and you do not struggle to keep them on your feet.
