Based on reading some review about the sizing, I was on the fence about the right size to order in my son's first Cayman's even after using the "sizing guide" on the Crocs site. Many reviews I read talked about how they ordered the size they child wears in regular shoes and their cros were not the right fit. Even after I confirmed what size I needed to order from the sizing guide I was debating between a C4/5 and C6/7. He wears a size 5 1/2 in Stride Rite and his foot is exactly 5" long. From then, I was assuming C4/5 but kept second guessing myself since the C4/5 tops out at 4 7/8" sizing while the 6/7 begins is recommended at 5 1/8' feet. I wanted him to wear them immediately and not have to wait a couple months so took the chance and ordered the C4/5. PERFECT FIT!! The Crocs sizing guide is right on the mark with their measurements! My son has a wide foot so I know the "roomy" fit of the Cayman's would compensate for his feet being just a hair longer than the 4/5 dual fit says. The keys when ordering is to make sure there is a "C" in front of the sizing when you order. if you order an "M" or "W" then you will get an adult shoe. Amazon also has the children's sizes listed under "Infant" and "Toddler" from their pull-down size chart. Look at both because the colors available are different but they are the exact same shoe if there is a "C" in the size. With the strap in the back, he can run & play with no problems of it falling off. The fit is just as his shoes. I have not let him run around with the strap forward in "sandal" mode so we'll see how that goes when the time comes.Overall, I am very glad I went against my judgement of getting the 6/7 and decided on the 4/5. Granted, his feet may grow fast and he may need a new pair in a couple months but I am very glad he gets to wear them now and does not have to wait. The weather is warming up and these are much better for outside than sneakers that can make the feet sweaty.Great job crocs!!****UPDATE 5/12/2014****I had to drop my rating down to 4 stars due to the fact that we have had the crocs barely a week and the strap on the right croc broke. The loop where it attaches to the logo tab ripped in half. Just happened as I was slipping it on my son's foot and didn't even stretch it very much. As always, Amazon is amazing with returns. I processed the return over the weekend and UPA should be picking them up today. Amazon has already shipped out the replacement and that should arrive today or tomorrow. My son has had a pair of crocs since he grew into their baby sizes. They are awesome for slipping on before he darts outside to play and they hold up really well, considering they are made of some type of rubbery foam material. He wore his last pair until his toes were touching the toe box and one back strap finally broke in a bicycle accident (and then he STILL wore them as slip-ons until this order arrived!)He has always had a pair of brown, which hide dirt very well, but I've enjoyed the navy pair we ordered because they go great with jeans and his Abercrombie kids shirts, which always seem to have some navy in them. When you buy a pair they may seem too big at first but they are very comfortable for your child and each pair gives you AT LEAST one full year of wear, if not two years because they are like a size and a half, if not two full sizes in one shoe. We cannot live without these during the summer and he likes them so much, I have to buy the lined ones for winter or he'll go out in 40° weather with his regular ones on! (The lined winter ones do help keep feet comfortable in cool weather.) They tag along on campouts year-round for quick slip-ons to make midnight bathroom runs somewhat easier and if your child is prone to wading through puddles like mine, they dry by themselves in about five minutes (or thirty seconds with paper towels from the women's restroom as he fusses about being embarrassed to be in there with you and you remind him it was HIS decision to run through the puddle!)Seriously, we love these things and if it were possible for a pair of shoes to make motherhood easier, crocs certainly do it for me!My 3-year-old son attends a Montessori school where his teacher requests that each student wears shoes that he/she can put on and take off. They recommended Crocs, especially during the winter, since they wear boots and snow gear to play outside and need an additional pair of shoes during classroom time. This is our second pair of Crocs this year as my son hit a growth spurt during the middle of the school year. I offered him the choice to pick out a different pair of shoes since he mastered putting on and taking off Velcro shoes, but he was insistent on having another pair of Crocs, exactly like his first pair, down to the color. They arrived in plastic on the Crocs shoe hanger and he immediately gave them a test run. They’re incredibly easy for him to slip on and off, with the back down or up. It gives him a sense of independence and accomplishment every time he puts his shoes on by himself. For that reason alone, I’d recommend these for anyone with toddlers.Another reason these are great shoes for toddlers is the ease in which you can clean them! My son has been wearing Crocs since he was young and they were a lifesaver when we were in the midst of potty training. Even now, when he’s firmly using the toilet, he occasionally has an accident and if he’s wearing his Crocs the cleanup is minimal. They’re easy to wash and rinse off. Not to mention that they dry off in no time. His Crocs run a little big, but these are specifically designed as 2 sizes, so I expected them to be bigger. They’re incredibly durable and last through many seasons, playground adventures, waterpark shenanigans, beach days, indoor playing, and general toddler wear and tear.I ordered a little kid size 11 for my 4 yr old son. It came as 10/11 which is fine I expected that. I always order my kids crocs on Amazon. Much better deal than going to the retail store. If you have never used crocs, I live in fl and its moderate all year round so my kids live in crocs year round. They last quite a long time and if they are gross you can take a toothbrush and wash them with dawn dish soap. So they dont smell and don't wear like tennis shoes. And easier to get on for kids.I only buy crocs for my kids even my 9 yr old. They wear them everywhere including church. Just get a neutral color you are good to go. I normally get pink for my daughter and navy or black for my sons.I have to give It four stars because it arrived promptly and was as described. I ordered the size 10/11 as my Granddaughter is a size 10. However once on the strap which goes round the back of the foot pushes the foot forward which meant her toes were touching the end. On the crocs website it mentions these shoes come in three different width fittings. These particular shoes only seemed to come in a roomy fit whereas we would have done better with a standard fit. I didn't know about the width fittings until I started googling about how to work out the sizes.I was never a fan of crocs especially for adults as you see so many over sized crocs been scrapped down the pavement in fear that they may be left behined should they walk normally. Having been pressured into trying them for my son i reluctantly bought a pair as they were so cheap on amazon compared to the high street, what a shock that they fit perfectly and when my son is itching to get out into the garden they can be put on very quickly much to his delight. They have been very durable and he has been the envy of many a child and adault as he makes his way with his crocs on and not a dragged heel in sight. Great price and as we got the correct size they are a perfect fit. I can almost say I'm a convert, almost that is.I purchased these as they were less than £7. I'd seen other reviews mention that the quality of the croc changes depending on where they are made. I think this is definitely the case - these were more plastic-ey than the rubbery ones I've had in the past, which ultimately affect the fit/flexibility. The sizing I think also came up a bit small, but as there is no size in-between 10/11 and 12/13 I decided to keep them anyway. We just went up from a size 12-13 to J1. The shoes are absolutely enormous and far too wide for my son who has average width feet. After reading some of the other reviews this seems to be a common problem. Unfortunately will have to return them and start using another brand. These standard crocs are great for children with wider feet. Sizes are abit awkward but it means the shoes tend to last for around two years. Crocs are great for the garden and beach. Have tried over shoes that look like crocs and they haven't lasted. These are washable and fairly indestructible.
